A fun 4th of July

This weekend B and I went to Osage Beach, MO for the Richardson Family reunion (his grandmother's family) they have there every 2 years. This is my 2nd time going and this time it was so much fun. This was mostly due to the fact it wasn't a bajillion degrees outside. It was PERFECT.

The family rents a group camp site which has many bunk houses and a main mess hall. Meals and lodging costs are split up and its so reasonable, its nearly free. There are many activites to do at the camp, and many more to do in town.

Swimming: We went swimming in the lake, which was really warm. I of course nearly drowned because I am in denial of what a crappy swimmer I am (exaggeration). I bought noodles at the local Walmart in order to prevent my immenent death. It was a blast!

Water balloon volleyball: If you have never played this at a family event, you must start.

1. Two people get one towel and hold it out flat.
2. Teams form on each side of the volleyball net.
3. A water balloon is put into a towel and is "served" over the net to be caught in one of the opposing teams towel and then thrown back.
4. If the balloon breaks within bounds, the last team gets a point.

This game was way fun, especially watching the older folks play.

Hanging out: We bunked with B's sister and her boyfriend, and althought they are much younger than me, I am just immature enough to have a blast with them. LOL

His family is always so nice and I hope that I will get to come back in a few years.
